Zeelam : First of its kind

Hei guys,

It has been a very long time but it’s good to be back. So the last few days, Facebook has been lit with the “A Geeky Hallows’ Eve” and with it came a rather amusing post. It was about a book – Zeelam by Navin Weeraratne. And it said “The Sri Lankan Walking Dead” i guess and had a few figurines of zombies with sarong on it. That figurine got my attention rather than the book I would say. But nevertheless, I went straight to kindle store and bought myself a copy of “Zeelam” because I was impatient to get my hands on the copy on the 27th. You know the impatience you have when you are a kid, that kind of a feeling. It was about 11 in the night and I started reading. I had to sleep through work the next day if you are wondering. It was an amazing piece of literature to be honest. The book just felt like the zombie culture of the western countries got Sri Lankanized (that’s a word from today). It was incredibly fast paced but in a good way. It kept you turning pages or in my case tapping screens with enthusiasm and a want for more. The best bit about it are the Sri Lankan cliches and insider jokes. I mean lemon puff and marie biscuits got an honorary mention. Navin was brave enough to put the whole of Sri Lankan current affairs into a book of 114 pages (which was too little for a great story I would say). From the secret lives of our MP’s to our representatives abroad and their actions (emphasize on actions 😛 ), to the recent communal clash within Buddhist and Muslims in certain part of the countries. It was an interesting take by the author on the cause of the hatred between the two ethnic groups in the country and also signifying the worth of Muslims to Colombo as well as the country on the whole. I also appreciate Navin in spreading an awareness to dengue specially in Colombo and it’s suburbs through his work.

Once again the insider jokes and tit bits deserve to be read over and over again. I was overwhelmed to see that the city that we all are familiar with and its people being the hero of a Zombie story. I mean it has happened finally and I hope and expect more work of the same kind. And my personal request to Navin – Please keep on writing more of these awesome books. Would love to see a prequel or sequel to Zeelam in the near future. And the next time please make it huge :D.

So to all my geeks out their looking to get a hold of Zeelam, Visit “A Geeky Hallows’ Eve” at the Geek HQ on the 27th and pick up a free Sri Lankanized Zombie figurine with it.

Cheers,

1000 years ahead….

Have you ever imagined how life would be in another 1000 years? I have and I have thought about it a lot. When ever something like this interferes my train of thoughts, I come across some interesting piece of literature or media that speaks about the future. There are 2 types of visionaries that have a view of the future. One of them think that the future will be apocalyptic while the other type of visionaries think of future in a more optimistic manner. I am of the latter category. I believe that the future holds much more surprises for us.

One of my favourite futurist is non other than Elon Musk. I have been an avid follower of his works. The introduction of electrical vehicles, mass solar power generation, cheap space travel and last not least, Colonization of Mars. He gave us a glimpse of the possible future. But my question is how will our lives be in another 1000 years. There are many theorists suggestion about a mass extinction similar to the ones that ended the Jurassic period. Read on to view the answers in my perspective.

We are advancing with technology at an alarming rate. like Dan Brown’s latest book suggests, we will be fusing ourselves with technology to create a better and a much more fit species. This has already begun and we can see them in our day-to-day life. It is considered prosthetic for differently-abled personnel but in future, it will become apart of our day-to-day life. Everyone will be utilizing prosthetic to enhance their hearings, vision, functionalities of the body and etc. For example we may have hearing aids that could help us hear noises beyond our normal hearing frequency. Or have contact lenses that help us see light that is usually not visible to the naked eye. That is only a very narrow view of what is to come in the future. The future may hold the key to curing blindness, deafness, dumbness and other born with problems.

There are many other medical developments to be expected in the future too. Genetic modification has started to bloom in the last decade. within another 1000 years we will be able to genetically cure terminal diseases like cancer and AIDS. We will also be able to detect diseases early on through genetic scanning where it is possible to for-see any diseases that are embedded in the DNA and provide treatment even before they start to act on the victim. Or for the better, provide immunity to possible diseases through genetic modifications in the early stage of birth. There has been a recent incidence in Nairobi where over 43 prostitutes have shown to contain HIV virus within their system but have not shown any signs of AIDS. This may be a possible immunity developed against AIDS. This is a proof that we are still evolving and are finding ways to evolve ourselves to fight diseases. Like wise, may be in future we may become resistant to these diseases automatically rather than being given medications. So isn’t it a possible optimistic future???

The other subject that is always talked about in conjuncture with future is flying cars. Dude cars are meant to be driven on the ground. If it is meant to fly, it is a plane. Would you call a submarine a swimming bus? So I think it is a no for flying cars. I mean there would be cheaper and faster ways of flying but still, there would also be road transportation as present today. Lets say you want to go to the grocery, would it be sensible to fly from your house to the shop a few blocks away? That’s when cars and motorcycles would be needed. But things would be faster thanks to much more organised roads, autonomous vehicles, and specially hyper loop. Hyper loop is the new ultra fast tunnel system being built by the Boring company owned by Elon Musk. This tunnel allows faster transportation of vehicles and passengers over a long distance. Elon Musk claims it to be faster than current air travel. And when talking about Elon Musk, we also have to talk about his Tesla. Cars that run purely on electricity and has much more performance when compared to its fuel counterparts. It is also cheaper to own and it is made easier and cheaper to recharge through solar-powered charging points all over the world which would be implemented as a part of his plan. So i think we will have ambiguous vehicles which are capable of operating on land, air and water and which is off the fuel diet and with zero emission.

Mars colonization has been a common talk with SpaceX working very hard to make it a reality. The possibility of such a happening is very high and as to Elon Musk, colonization would begin within another 20 years. So we will start living on Mars and our lives will dramatically change. As the atmosphere on Mars is very different to the ones we have on earth. Sunlight is low, and gravity is also low compared to earth. This would give us bigger eyes to adapt to the low light while increasing our height due to low gravity. Once human population starts moving to Mars, the population growth on earth would reduce to a manageable rate. This would reduce pollution and the strain on the environment which would help earth regain its lost greenery and also the reduction in the usage of fossil fuel will help reduce the green house effect which eventually controls global warming.

Rather than being pessimistic about the future, let’s have an optimistic view and I hope they find a way to reverse aging or even a way for immortality which would keep me alive to witness the marvels of the future.

All religions are one

The heading of my post is the same as the title of a famous work by William Blake. In it he argues that man is the source of religion and that it is his imagination that brings forth the concept of religion. All these dawned on me while reading Dan Brown’s recent mystery novel, “Origin”. The book is the 5th installment of the famous Robert Langdon series. This book explores the concept of various religions and the 2 most important questions of our existence.

1. Where did we come from?

2. Where are we going?

I don’t want to spoil the thrill of reading for the readers. So I will just talk about my point of view into the matter.

One of my very open view is that religion was a man made illusion that was used to cover up the unknown. For example, lets say Ebola virus infection appeared back in the 10th century. The scientific development at that time was not sufficient to investigate the infection or the cause. Therefore, it automatically became a plague sent by God. Anyone smart enough to look for the science behind it was condemned and punished as being a heretic. Some of the famous condemned scientist where, Galileo, Copernicus and etc. But with the advancement in science, the reason behind everything is investigated and a solution is presented. Even if there isn’t a complete solution, there is a possibility of at least reaching a mid way point. Due to this fact, the world is seeing a rapid rise in atheists around the world. That does not mean the concept of religion is totally absurd. For example, the hindu religion had a smart way of incorporating religion with science. The religion is obsessed with turmeric powder and it is almost used every where from funeral houses to weddings. The scientific reason behind is the anti-bacterial properties of turmeric. People back then would not have followed anything if a person spoke about science and higyene but would bend over for religion. So the pundits of the time used religion as a cover for science. Even in the current world, there are thousands of people who have a blind faith on religion which is becoming dangerous day by day.

The primary goal of any religion was peace and prosperity but the current world is shred into pieces because of religion and the fight to show which belief is powerful. Religion which was suppose to bring order from chaos forgot its purpose and turned right back creating chaos from order.

So back to the book, the 2 prominent questions are the most intriguing of many questions about the universe. According to the protognist and myself, we are nothing but a tiny speck of dust in a huge universe. We are not significant as we think ourselves to be. As I had mentioned once in my earlier posts, we are only the current dominant species on earth. There were many before us and many after us. The book has a very interesting suggestion about our successor which seems highly likely with the current world. I do not want to get into details but the synopsis is that we are nothing special and we will not be special. Religion is just the imagination used to cover up our fear of the unknown. It is time the world breaks free of this millennia old concept of religion and unite under science.

To know the interesting answers to the above questions I suggest you read the book.

The dark religions are departed and sweet science reigns.

A train ride to paradise

It was the first official day of my vacation and here I am packing my bags to go on a train ride. After a some what heavy lunch I am out of the house with a backpack and a camera on my side. On my way, I am greeted by Akram and we both spend a few minutes on the road waiting for Lidushan. In about 5 minutes we are dropped off near the railway station by Lidu’s dad. The board at the railway station board had a sign on saying the train is delayed by 30 minutes. While we awaited the arrival of the smog chugging carrier, we met with Naresh Uncle who suggested us some interesting places to visit on our impromptu trip.

The train arrived exactly half an hour late and to our mental satisfaction, we were greeted with an almost empty second class cabin. After settling in and once the train started moving, we had some small talk and we had our fair share of reviling the 2 guys who had other plans rather than have some fun.

Traintanic romance

About 20 minutes down the line, the sky started pouring down which forced us to close the windows and look out the windows like children waiting for the rain to stop so that they can go play outside.  Half way down the line the rain stopped but we were treated with heavy fog. Like brave soldiers, we did not give way for the cold to keep us from leaving the windows open or peeping out the foot board. When we approached Pattipola Railway station we were covered in mist all around that we could only see a few feet out the windows. It was explained by a board informing us that we were at the highest railway station in Sri Lanka at an altitude of 1900 metres above sea level.

By 7.00 pm we arrived our destination. The ever so beautiful ELLA. The first beautiful sight was a clean railway station which is rare in Sri Lanka. From the station we went hunting for accommodation. The first place we went to was run by a lady who gracefully mentioned that all the rooms were full. Once we left there, the lady came behind us and was marketing about her cheap rooms to a couple of foreigners. Typical business woman. Down the road we went and came across another place which was also run by a lady. She had a few empty rooms and was willing to let it for us. Lidushan got down to business and got us a bargain price where everyone was satisfied.

We settled in, changed and went right out the door to be a part of the Ella nightlife. The weather was surprisingly okay and foreigners roamed the streets making us forget we are actually in Sri Lanka. Every shop had a few outsiders having a drink or having their dinner. We went up and down the small town once and found a place to settle in for dinner. We entered the  “360O” a restaurant with a live singer. We ordered a pizza and sat down listening to this one man sing. There were a few people dancing to the slow and steady guitar music while this singer sang with ease. Opposite our table, 3 little ones sat close to each other staring at a ipad. They were so into whatever they were watching that they sometimes forgot to blink. It was like a punch to the face. When we were the same age, if we came across a large restaurant with a man singing his guts off, we tend to go explore but these kids did not even flinch. After a small but hearty diet we returned to the room preparing for the big day ahead.

By 7 we were up and ready by 8. We got ourselves 2 scooters and had a small breakfast. We sped down to Haputhale and up Dambathenna estate. It was considerably far with rarely maintained roads after Haputhale town. But the scenic landscape kept us motivated to reach the destination we planned. Akram was the navigator with his phone out with maps and we 2 riders kept on moving. At some places the scenery was so fabulous that I had to stop admire the beauty of it.

After about an hours ride we reached Dambathenna and we had 7 more kilometres to cover and the road climbed at a steep angle. Akram took over the second scooter while Lidu and myself road the first. The scooter groaned at the combined weight of us both and the steep climb. But nevertheless, it did a very good job being a rental. After another 20 minutes we reached the top. “Lipton’s Seat” was more like God’s seat. From the top of the hill you could see a vast range of vegetation and buildings as it they were from a miniature world. The view was so majestic that we spent a few minutes admiring the beauty. It was worth travelling so long.

Once we completed our ride down to Haputhale, we were on our way to Adisham Bungalow. An architectural marvel from 1931 by Sir Thomas Lister Villiers. The bungalow was amidst the Thangamalai sanctuary which was a somewhat dense forest with a lot of tall trees. Only 2 rooms of the bungalow are open for public viewing while the rest is closed off as it functions as a monastery. These 2 rooms were filled with objects from the past such as hard cover books from the yester-century and some furniture.

The location and the surrounding made me feel as if we were back in the days of Sir Villiers. It was so tranquil and pleasant I wished I could own this whole damn place.

After Adisham we sped off to Ella for our lunch. We had a small but tasty meal while it rained cats and dogs. Once the rain gave way for a few minutes, we were back on the road. This time heading to Bogoda. The internet mentioned that Bogoda wooden bridge was one of the oldest existing wooden bridge which intrigued the engineer in me to go have a look. The ride took about an hour. The road broke my back and I felt sorry for the scooter owner. Once we reached the bridge, we were actually disappointed. The bridge span about 20 feet in length and wasn’t actually ancient. A cliff on the way to Bogoda was much more spectacular compared to this.

After this disappointment of a ride, we were travelling back to Ella fighting the rain. By 5 pm we were walking down the foot path to the iconic Nine Arch bridge. The hike took about 20 to 30 minutes. The bridge and the location made me wonder how painstaking it would have been to construct back in the 1920’s. Nonetheless, the beauty and shear size kept me dumbstruck.

While we were trekking back to the main road, a train went by which was actually bad luck. We were back in the room, showered, into fresh clothes and ready for dinner. We arrived at the “Ceylon Tea Factory restaurant” which was somewhat similar to a tea factory. He sat in front of the huge television, switched to IPL and awaited our Barbecue dinner. After the dinner, the long day took its toll. All 3 were dizzy and half a sleep already. The bills were settled and we were on the bed in no time.

The final day of our trip began with an early rise. Up and ready by 7. We walked all the way to the Ravana cave which was like climbing Sri Pada. The cave and the elevation would have been an ideal spot for Ravana to keep an eye on his kingdom. But he only question in my mind was how did he manage to climb so high frequently?

Thanks to modern construction, the path was climbable.

Down we went back again from the cave towards Ravana Ella. The ever so majestic waterfalls that defines Ella. The place was crowded to the brim but we managed to poke our heads in.

We dipped our selves in the icy cold water and took a Tuk back into town. The train leaves at 10.55 and we were in our room at 10.50. We paid the bill and thanked our host when we heard the train arrive. Thanks to Akram’s sprinting skills we got into the train on time and looked back towards Ella. I left Ella with a feeling that I will be back very soon to enjoy this fabulous place with more time on hand. The train ride was much enjoyable as we still had daylight.

Finally I am back here writing this blog and looking back at the 2 awesome days we had in Ella.

Owning your dream car……

Last weekend I had an awesome opportunity to visit Cars & Coffee Sri Lanka. While I was there, I witnessed some incredible machines. I was up close to the Ferrari  F355 spider, Porsche cayman, Porsche 718, a caterham 7, limited edition Subaru sti r205, gt86, Evo X, GT-R nismo and many many more majestic beasts. I was even lucky enough to be real close to a custom made caffe racer. With these and once in a while sighting of the lambo. corvettes, Rolls Royce and mustangs, It got me thinking about being able to own one. The one thing I noticed was that most of the owners of these cars were middle aged people. there were some young adults but what got my attention where the middle aged men. I sometimes dream of suddenly owning a dream car or a fabulous bike. But now I realized that to own something so marvelous you should work hard. Earn every penny to pay for something you love. May be because of the tax situation in our country it took some time for these people to own their dream cars but still it showed that you should work hard to own something like that.

No one is going to come down to you and give you the keys to a car and let you own it. you have to work your way to own something so incredible. Some are lucky to have parents who would buy you anything that you want. In my case I got a bike. But sometimes I get the feeling that I don’t deserve it. To me, vehicles are like best buds. Friends don’t just come flocking around you. You have to talk. connect and earn your friends. That’s the same for vehicles. You should work hard to be able to buy your own car.

Since that day, I stopped dreaming and started working to concur my dreams, One day, I will own an awesome car and I will look back into this day and thank myself for taking such a decision. The summary he is people that you don’t just get to own anything without working hard. Anything that doesn’t come to you through hard work will not be satisfactory. It is not about just owning a car, but deserving it and being satisfied.

Hope you too make better decisions for the future.

Conspiracies around us – 4

Does any one feel too crowded on earth? I don’t feel like being suffocated but what is with these people who claim that earth is over populated? This is the soul of Dan Brown’s most recent mystery “Inferno”. The antagonist of the story plans to release some toxins into the air which when is breath in, will turn 2 in 3 people impotent.

So is the world really going through over population?? Does it need to be controlled?? The world is going through a high birth rate compared to the past but it doesn’t mean we are over crowding the world. There are so many places on earth with low population density and stuff. Many who read the story may think it was a thing of Dan Brown’ imagination but it really is happening around us. Many organisations, including government are concerned with this over population stuff and are working on reducing the population because larger the crowd, harder it is to manipulate or control them. How many of us know that the worst disease on earth, AIDS was a result of experiments?? I even remember few years back when there was a rumour about Coca Cola making you impotent.

When a nation has a larger population, controlling them is another matter but meeting their needs is also difficult. So every large corporations and governments want to keep it in check. But that doesn’t mean you should make them impotent or reduce the birth rates. When we look into the evolution of earth, once dinosaurs where the dominant species on earth. At one point over population may or may not have been a factor there but naturally they became extinct. So may be at one point we humans may become extinct naturally. We are messing around with nature too much so one day it may take revenge. Who knows??? Until that day lets all live happily. 😀

That’s it people, this is was rather a short post because most of the facts are obvious,

Until the next time,
Cheers,

Conspiracies around us – 3

Hi people,
I am back here once again with the 3rd part of my Dan Brown Conspiracies. This time I’ll focus on the freemasons who are a real organisation that exists amongst us (Hope I am not kidnapped :P). So, as I mentioned in my earlier post regarding Illuminatis, freemasonary is a real organisation that has been conspired due to there many secrecy.
This organization is prevelant almost every where yet, they are independent. Rules and guidelines are present in a book from the 18th century which is practised till this date. this organisation can be traced back to the 15th century when they were formed by ordinary people. Earlier women where also a part of this organisation, but the regulations in the 18th century banned them from masonic lodges (more on this below.). In every place free masons are prevelant, there are masonic lodges. These lodges act as a meeting point. Even in Sri Lanka there are masonic lodges in Colombo, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya. You have to meet certain categories if your to join them. When a person joins, he joins as a degree one free mason or else apprentice. The procedures of the organisation is not revealed to anyone outside the organisation. The highest degree is the 33rd degree known as master masons.
To join the free masons, you should believe in any one god, shouldn’t lend or borrow money and never discuss politics and religion within the lodge. The induction ceremonies are thought of demonic by many, yet some believe that because being a believer of god is a main requirement, anything demonic can be a rumor. A free mason would not be required to hide his association with the organisation yet he is required to keep the activities a secret which raises many questions. Well known free mason is George Washington, the founding father of United States who was a 33rd degree mason. He is potraited in may pictures with the attire of a master mason.
Each country or region will have a grand lodge which is like a main centre for all masonic activities within the country or region. Sri Lanka’s grand lodge is in Colombo. A simple google search would take u to their website which contains all the details.
The fact that their activities are kept a secret is what creates all these commotion around them. Some people which to be in the shadows so let them be.
That’s it for now people,
See you next time with my last part.
Cheers,
Jathu

Gunshots and cuckoos

Gunshots echoed through the walls of the Arcade. A man in his early 20’s comes running from the far end of the now closed shopping mall. Behind him in swift pursuit a company of three armed men follow charging bullets at him through silenced weapons. All that was running in the mind of this young man was to get away from the gang of white muscular men and save himself. The activities of the past days come crashing through him mind and the reason behind this chaos that he fell into. Lucky for him, a half asleep security guard heard some commotion and opened a door to the outside world which made it easier for this young gentleman to escape in to the open. He checked his watch and the time was 12:43am. It was a usual Saturday night in the city which meant the streets where littered with cops especially this area for it was close to a famous club which entertained the youths of this great city. While hoping on to his motorcycle, he eyes two cops on the side of the road and decided that it was time for him to make his escape from the unknown foreign men who were chasing him.

A look back at the open doors made him aware of the three gunmen making their way out of the Arcade and toward him. While he gave a hard twist to the throttle, the cops eyed him and stopped him. On seeing the cops, the three gunmen had to put away their weapons and act civilized. So they made their way to the black Montero which they had parked a few meters from the Arcade. On seeing that the men made their way away from him, Justin showed the required documents to the cops and sped in the opposite direction. Being in Colombo for almost three years made him well aware of the streets of this mega polis which gave him an advantage over the foreigners.

The dearest thing of Justin’s life was his blue beast. A 2012 Yamaha YZF – R6. The city traffic makes it difficult to enjoy the ride but the time and the open road made him forget all his problems for a few minutes and enjoy the ride through the streets of a busy city. The cold breeze made him forget all about the gunmen who were chasing him. A huge tire noise brought him back to reality. The side mirrors indicated a black Montero gaining ground and a man waving his gun through the sun roof of the car. The scene reminded him of Jack – In – The – Box until a bullet ripped passed him. What is it with these men and Justin? He had no idea why it was happening to him. He made his way on to the Duplication road which gave him a long stretch to out race the Montero. The 600 cc beast would for sure save him from the guys but then why does he have to run? As he assumed, the road made it possible for him to outrun the Montero. The jeep became a tiny speck in the side mirror and suddenly vanished into thin air.

Just like it vanished, the jeep reappeared out of thin air right in front of him. Justin headed straight into the jeep. That was the end. A loud crash and he felt 2 men grab him. The adrenaline rush made him super strong to get himself free of the 2 muscle men. He raises his hand to punch the man and hears the men call out in a cuckoo. The man sounded just like the cuckoo from the alarm in your phone. Little by little the man’s face had a beak and then feathers. Then again his hands transformed into wings!! The man completely turned into a Cuckoo and flew right out of Justin’s hand.

This weird incident brought Justin back into the real reality. That’s right, he woke up and heard the cuckoo alarm in his phone ring. It was all a dream for a youth who didn’t have a wee bit of excitement. The heart loved the excitement but the mind knew it would only happen in dreams. Was the mind correct?

Conspiracies around us – 2

So here I am back to write about the next Dan Brown conspiracies (I like to call it so….). This time I am touching a very popular subject – “The Illuminati”. Let me start over with the history of this secret organisation.
Illuminati is actually the Latin word for the “Enlightened”. So why is there a commotion about a society that is called Enlightened?? Illuminati or originally called Bavarian Illuminati was a secret society formed by A German called Adam Weishaupt some where in 1776. The true purpose of this secret society was for the educated people of the era. During the period of Adam Weishaupt, church was the governing body of the world. Any findings or activities against the church was deemed heresy. So many scientist, philosophers, mathematicians, artists and many more where punished and forced to drop their ideas and researches. This secret society was a place where anyone was free to express their ideas and philosophies.
But this society didn’t flourish in a single day. It took years to make it a success. According to the film or the book “Demons and Angels”, no one was required  to complete tasks and prove themselves. The early members where hand picked and taken in little by little. When the governments and the church came to know of this secret society, they saw it as a threat and started plotting against it. While the outside world was threatened by the Illuminatis, they started having internal issues. These 2 factors brought in the decline of this society. By the 1820’s Illuminatis where considered demolished.
Even though the illuminati was believed to be dead, many modern philosophers think the Illuminatis went under hiding and are still prevailing behind the scene. Many politicians and powerful people are considered to be illuminatis. Even the founding fathers of USA are believed to be illuminatis. The current rumoured Illuminatis are Bill Gates, The Rothchilds, Issac Asimov and many more.
Eventhough Most of the facts mentioned by Dan Brown are considered fiction, some believe it to be true. I forgot the mentions a main fact here. The moto of illuminati is “New World order “, That’s the main reason they are feared by many. It is believed by many that this secret society is planing on world domination and stuff.
As to me, eventhough many have convinced me of the presence of the Illuminati, I believe in see and hear to believe policy, So I am a non believer. But it doesn’t make me dislike Angels and Demons. It’s a pretty damn interesting read.
OK folks, this is all I know of the Illuminatis, if I missed anything, my apologies.
Until the next time,
Cheers,
Jathu.

Conspiracies around us

Hello again Folks,

I am back again with some interesting topic. Everyone is well aware of the names such as Illuminati, Freemasonary and many more. Every time these names pop up, it is surrounded by conspiracies and controversies. Everyone has different understanding of these conspiracies. The main medium of ideas about these conspiracies being spread is films and books. The greatest example would be Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon series which consist of The Da Vinci Code(Concerning the Rennes Le Chateau mystery), Angels and Demons (Brings back the Illuminatis), The lost symbol (involves the free-masons secrets) and finally Inferno (Revolves around Dante Alighieri’s Inferno and population control).

What are these conspiracies??? What is so special about a small town in the southern France??? Who and what are the illuminatis??? Who are the free masons??? and why is everyone concerned with  the growing population??? I will give a short description of these 4 topics from what I understood and learnt.

Rennes Le Chateau is a small town in the southern France which became a centre of conspiracies. It all began when a the parish priest (Berenger Sauniere)of the local church, The church of Saint Mary Magdelene starting spending much more than he could make in his whole life. So where did this poor priest of the 1880’s get so much money? He went through many inquiries from the Diocese and still he was reluctant so share the secret of his sudden wealth. The only other person who knew his secrets was his house maid to whom he left the wealth and all his properties on his death. The woman sold everything to a person called Noel Corbu. This new owner made use of the mystery of Sauniere and some other facts to make up a story of Sauniere finding the treasure from the Temple of Solomon and some proof of the immortality of christ which were believed to be safe guarded by the Knight Templars but then hidden in this small town when they where being hunt down. This rumours made Rennes Le Chateau a centre of mystery and till this date it is visited by many treasure hunters and tourists to witness pieces of this mystery to themselves.

To what extent this story is true is not for me to say but if you feel you need further clarification, I would suggest the book called “The Holy Blood The Holy Grail” (Goodreads link – https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/606818.Holy_Blood_Holy_Grail ).

Until I am back with the next part,
Cheers,

Jathu.
